Yoru has her own tastes and emotions independent of Asa's, and quite often in stark contrast to Asa's, like for example shooting innocent people while riding a bike. Remember the urge to cut Denji's dick off? That was Asa's wish, Yoru just decided to oblige out of practicality. She was convinced it would move the situation forward.
