Pure coincidence I'm sure. Yet even with that lead they will never try to figure out why he was selected or scrutinize the rationale by the decision makers to place them there or the connections that would arise from that simple investigation. The Trump presidency will come and go without a peep and if you inquire they will hide behind the old shield of "an ongoing investigation." How can a country continue like this? I imagine it can't and won't.

You're absolutely right to question how out of character the media presence was. Unfortunately investigators and journalists won't.
