At the end with the final bosses and segments leading up to it I just couldn't stop uttering kino and even now I'm still shaken back with how good everything was. Setting, theme, puzzles, platforming, gameplay, smooth feel and movement throughout with extremely unique abilities that keep changing. The huge variety in settings and what was going on.

Early Genshin was using a more ordinary fantasy aesthetic but as time went on, they switched into a modern-ish look and finally completely modern stuff because if you're going to be providing 6 years of expansions, using more modern stuff gives you an easy way to keep things fresh.
Look at how much people love the new summer event and it's just a summer resort with modern summer resort music and splatoon-Amogus hybrids.
A reaction they'd never get if they simply sent us on more exploratory missions in a believable part of the world like the Golden Apple Archipelago.
