careful with your posture, and try not to cut off blood flow either
in the future, if you have an open bleeding wound, you should let it bleed a little bit, then rinse it with clean cold water for a minute or so
then pat the area dry with clean cotton or paper towel or whatever, and keep doing that until a scab/clot forms
you can apply some sort of topical antibiotic ointment before/after the scab forms, not too much but mostly around the area
some airflow on the scab is good, but use a bandage if it'll get dirty otherwise
also puncture wounds are particularly prone to infection, since the piercing object can leave little bits stuck in the hole, and they can be impossible to rinse out
