Why supporting Ukraine is beneficial for Europe and United States

Supporting Ukraine in our war with Russia is not (just) about humanism and high ideals. It is about practicality and common sense.

I've summed up why helping Ukraine establish a just and lasting peace to integrate into the European security system is in the West's interests. Please let me know what you think in the comments:

◾Ukrainian Defense Forces: the most powerful army in Europe today.
Ukrainian Defense Forces are the only army that has experience fighting with a large conventional army in general, and with the Russian army in particular. Ukrainian Army has vast experience in modern large-scale combat, knows how to adapt quickly and innovate flexibly. Ukrainian Defense Forces as an integral part of the European security system will make Europe much safer.

◾The force of law vs the law of force: if Russia is allowed to win, this will show dictators all over the world that aggression against other sovereign states is justified, state borders can be changed by violating international law, and that stronger countries can attack weaker countries.
There will be no chance for building a constructive new global security system and the system of international law. The number of tension points in the world will only grow (and it has grown significantly in the past three and a half years), and a new global war will become a far more likely reality.
Supporting Ukraine is a clear signal to other authoritarian states, such as Iran and North Korea.
