Tbh there ARE two types of Japanese.

Jomon were on Japan earlier, and have more blood ties to older groups like the Ainu (which is why they are hairier, have bigger eyes and are in general manlier) - Jomon historically are the aristocratic and richer class and have a lot of media presence (which is ironic considering what happened with the pure blooded ainu).

Meanwhile the Yayoi are a later migratory group from china/Korea and make the bulk of Japan's population.
