I feel so... isolated, being an actual nerd in a community of people who only barely or half-care about the stuff they're cosplaying or the fanbase of it. I hate that everybody is so dispassionate nowadays and the concept of lurking has just completely disappeared in favor of forcefully trying to change things while knowing nothing about it.

I wanna keep cosplaying because I wanna cosplay characters I love or have fun with, am I just cursed to not have anybody to talk with about it or enjoy the experience with?

Where have all the passionate people gone? Why does everybody seem like they half-ass everything they participate in and consume low-quality garbage with no intention of understanding or appreciating on a deeper level? When did nerdy spaces get infected by so much of the lowest common denominator brainless apes?
