I'll add a theory I've had for several years. Until the modern culture war arguably began (2016-ish) Most transpeople just wanted to be a TRADITIONAL opposite gender, date their previous gender and live under the radar, attention was the last thing they wanted. Then when the culture war began a bunch of white guys had their brains broken with guilt that they were white guys and became 'trans' so they could be martyrs as well. Suddenly trans support meetings were flooded with these loud, militant, ugly creeps who were just trying to hook up with other trans-lesbians and bitch about how their lives were awful because society hates them.

TLDR: That Red Hood trans writer loves that she can say she got fired 'for being trans' and will milk that rancid teat forever.
