I don't know, I've only ever used mint, debian and arch linux. right now I use, debian stable - trixie, in my opinion it's the best debian has ever been, and since amd gpu drivers are built into the kernel it shouldn't be a problem like nvidia would be(which is outdated as fuck in the debian package repository), with nvidia gpu something like arch or mint or whatever would be better.
If you have the time to spare I would recommend starting with a window manager over a desktop environment, desuarchive.org/g an archive of 4chan.org/g/ usually has good recommendations for which software to use, to start you pick a window manager, terminal, panel/bar, and a web browser.
you should also set up full disk encryption by default
the main problem longtime windows users have when switching to Linux, is them trying to operate linux exactly like how they use windows, when you really should be learning the linux way to do things which is better
