Dude, there is a reason why all the ancient statues and busts of Gods in Ancient Rome/Greece had no pubes. It is also the reason why pubes did not feature in later Renaissance and Romantic art depicting heroes and gods. Being without pubes makes you closer to the divine, to the heroic, the religious and the mythological. Having pubes makes you more human and thus more animalistic. The same reason that long hair and beards are associated with being uncivilised.
