Well, I really recommend you watch the anime. It's really great (except for the ending). But since you're asking, Ymir was the first titan. An innocent sweet girl that got enslaved, then got the powers of the titans, returned to the king the enslaved her (despite being handed the equivalent of a fucking Nuke) and helped said king conquer the world.

Her character is not very deep or special, but I just have a major soft spot for her. A beautiful girl like her, just wanting to be loved, and willing to go back to the person who enslaved her. Like I said, as weird as it may sound, I worship her as my own personal God
