Also, to add to what anon has said, the big thing that is making Israel panick right now is the prospect of the Labense army banding together with Hezbollah due to their schizphrenic ceasefire violations.
The other day, Balda municipal worker got killed by IDF fire, and Hezbollah immediately praised the Lebanese president for ordering the army to respond. They’re basically telling people to back the Lebanese army with any defensive measures, while Nabih Berri of the Amal Movement says just condemning it isn’t enough. The guy wasn’t even Hezbollah, so the whole thing has the country uniting against Israel.
tl;dr: Hezbollah and the Lebanese army are lining up on the same side which is pretty much worst case scenario for Israel since it wanted to use the latter to disarm the former.
