I much prefer quality over quantity. Yeah, the new exploration gimmick gives us less stuff to do but they feel much more enjoyable.
The problem is that HSR and Genshin already have exploration stuff, and both of them do it better (genshin obviously is leagues above HSR but that's besides the point). TV mode may have been slower paced and more boring and uneventful, but damn it was a very unique way to weave the narrative into the gameplay, while also establishing the kind of job the Proxies did, and the kind of situation they're in. Everything in TV mode gives this rustic, alien feel, really giving you the vibe that you're acting as mission control for a squad in a bizarre, unobservable location.
But now that we actually run around the hollows ourselves, we get to see just how utterly bland and uninspired they are. They have got to be the most drab environments in any hoyoverse game, ever, and any content that makes me actually have to look at them just makes me feel bored.

Gameplaywise, now ZZZ is just HSR but with hack-n-slash instead of autobattling. The vibes are all gone, and replaced with a feel of background fantasy that doesn't end up going anywhere.
