sorry i took a nap
like the other guy said, playing your life is important but i would NOT prioritize this
yes, it is very easy to feed on brig by getting aggressive but if you spend your entire game in the back throwing your whipshot then you might as well just play a different support with better range, the only time you should be doing that is if you are stacked on top of another support like ana against dive, in which case your job actually is just sit on your ass and whipshot away tanks
Brig excels at taking ad holding space, so you need to figure out where your enemy WANTS to go and limit test how hard you can make it for them to be there. When you see that they're sending a lot of people your direction then just bash out, but if you're playing correctly then you should be a real pain in the ass, getting aggressive as soon as you see a straggler like a half-health soj trying to slide away from an engagement, but if the enemy team tries to collapse onto your position you should be long gone by the time they arrive
the longer you play, the better you'll understand this tempo of balancing running in and swinging and sitting back and whipshotting, and once you get the hang of this you can play her into anything, even Rein, Ram, JQ, flyers etc. Don't be afraid of downtime, it might feel like you're doing nothing during parts of a fight and thats completely fine, doing nothing but watching is sometimes exactly what your best course of action is.
