The 62 is the mainstay of our troops.
The 95 is quite uncommon and mostly reserved for "special" troops.
There won't be an AR platform rifle at least until 2040 to be honest, they only JUST started to modernise the old 62 to the 62M standard, so a new pistol grip, front grip and telescopic stock, but a lot of them are still in older configurations, some even in the early "michelin man" configuration straight from the 60s.
I was issued an RK95TP with a bunch of optics back in the day, it was okay I guess, but really damn clunky because you had to fuck around with these weird picatinny adaptor mounts for the soviet style dovetail mount so you could slap an acog or an aimpoint on it.
The mount itself was a good kilo or so on an already kinda heavy rifle.
