This is a tiger quoll, it's the largest native carnivore in Australia (dingoes a/k/a mutts excluded).
It's related to the extinct thylacine.

Did you know the only two mammals to lay eggs are native only to Australia?
That over 70% of all marsupials live in Australia?
That we have the highest number of endemic birds in the world, upwards of 400 species found NOWHERE else?
