One of the biggest marks against gacha is how you need to either spend significant money or significant time (literal months or years of daily playing) to progress in them.
I can't think of a single gacha with pvp where you can just jump in and be on the exact same playing field as someone who's spent thousands of dollars or invested years of time into the game. The target audience for these games would see that kind of thing as an "insult" to them.
