It's so obvious that Kaito projects Kazuma on Uta because he misses him so much. Uta is probably the same age as Kazuma when Kaito first met him, but the fact that the vaguest of similarities in personality and physical appearence is enough to try to fill the Kazuma shaped hole in his heart is really depressing. I used to not really like Kaito, but now I feel sorry for the poor guy. Hell, Meroron of all people feels kind of sorry for him. It's only been a couple of month since she learned empathy.
