Thanks dude, I'll give that lighter a look. I used to use a zippo with the pipe insert with a cob, and I recall getting decent to good flavor out of Carter Hall, but yeah I'm sure the taste is probably different than a wick flame because the zippo fluid might change the flavor. I've already got a czech tool, and I'll check those other tampers too.

On a side note, I bought a 1.5oz tin of Frog Morton On the Town back in 2019, and I realized the date of sealing on the bottom of the tin is a faded 2017 on it. Never smoked Frog Morton's, so I'm content with what I'm missed out on.
