I'd probably just watch television, but television is so sedentary. Videogames keep your mind active. You're constantly making decisions, solving problems, and shaping things to your desire. When all you do is sit and watch your brain turns to pudding.
Maybe if I wasn't playing vidya I would find something productive to replace it and vidya is actually squandering my creativity.
But more likely any hobby I found to replace it would be equally frivolous while being less effective at keeping me active.
