The problem is not having a diverse cast. It's having a diverse cast for the sake of having a diverse cast aka tokenism. No one wants characters whose entire reason of being is to be the black one, the hispanic one, the asian one or the gay one. A good, well written character is good and well written no matter their skin color or sexual orientation.

Fucking no one had/has a problem with pic related because his existence is not based around the fact that he is black.
