Look at the state of this guy. Also, why do they have such reverence for the opinion of the Court of Appeal? Yesterday, I quoted Lord Bingham, who described the rule of law (as he defines it) as a “universal secular religion”. It seems Dan Hodges is a devout follower. The words of Lord Justice Holroyde are treated as divine. They're gospel. Legal fiction constitutes actual reality to the proceduralists. The fact the court favoured one of their own (Liam “conscientious defence lawyer” Muir) and disregarded the words of Connolly, describing them as “incredible”, is meant to be a line in the sand. No more debate, according to the likes of Hodges, is permitted. The court declared she entered the plea freely, whereas common sense says otherwise.
