The campus experience is just as guilty for turning them into communists as the curriculum. They spend 4 years just fucking around like they're still teenagers minus their parents and think life should always be like that. Hanging out on campus with a bunch of carefree young people, someone else keeps the utilities running and the dining hall stocked, snowboarding/music festivals/road trips, no worries and no responsibilities. No consideration given to the value of the labor that footed the bill for that paradise. They're eaters, pure net recipients. They want to scale that up on a societal level and figure someone else will take care of making the numbers add up, or believe a bunch of billionaires are hoarding all the wealth that can easily cover it.
