Of course the game is difficult. Half of the difficulty is dealing with broken programming.

The dlc was the cherry on top of fromsoft bullshit through the years. I hope they abandon the difficulty meme.
/v/ - Elden ring is objectively a bad game

And let's talk about hitboxes. They are shit. You can even use mods to show the hitboxes and you can objectively prove they don't fit the animations and models at all. Why????

Why does your character hit every wall but enemy attacks can go through walls? Attacks that hit you don't hit you and attacks that do not hit you, hit you. Combine that with the miserable camera, it's a horrible experience.
And what about the AoE spam? If deducing hitboxes it's already difficult, let's talk about the puking enemies do on screen. They spam attacks and don't stop moving like a crack head, and they jump and don't have rest windows. Of course it's more difficult if you don't let the player play.

Also why do they insist on making platforming in these games? Its shit. Your character gets stuck on geometry half of the time because why make a plain ground. Again, hitboxes are shit and fall damage is shit and doesn't make sense. Its horrible, horrible.

And the inputs are also bad. Why, the fuck, in God's mercy, do you decide to put the dash button into the roll button, making one core action have half a second of delay, while other inputs do not have delay. You put the core dodge mechanic into an input delay. Instead of you know, using another button or the joystick for running LIKE ANY OTHER GAME.

Also input buffering. Let's buffer attacks because why fucking not. They don't get registered half of the time either, so you have to pray the game understood the input buffering you want, managing stamina and all.
