because it's not something, it's nothing, that progression is just some data in a save file (one that you just can't access in a multiplayer game) that can be created or destroyed at will and provides no differentiation to something else
compare that to eg. a minecraft world where you creation has a very high change to be 100% unique to you and is actually the result of your creative output rather than the result of a random number generator rolling your loot or of you reaching a checkpoint created by the devs that unlocks something
even then, the main value of that minecraft save isn't even necessarily the data within it, but the data inside of your head connected to it

I'm doing it, but i'm playing anyway, so might as well. A few people watch, but it's more of a background thing, i figure. Can't be much more than that anyway, right now. Don't even know how to save the streams, so it all disappears anyway haha
