That is hands down the worst art in any of the new mini comics. And it was kind of an important comic as well. I ran into the sole writer of these new minis at SDCC. He wasn’t there in official capacity but was just hanging out at the Mattel booth for a bit. He’s actually pretty cool, he wrote for Marvel before it went to shit and also writes a lot of sci fi and stuff for Heavy Metal. I told him point blank he’s had some great comics but every time the artist ruins it with shit art. He said there were trying to get a consistent artist but there’s a lot with the comics including harsh deadlines and small budgets.


It’s kind of funny, black King Grayskull living in a white marble Castle Grayskull. I wonder if they’ll ever interpret the Grayskull Tower as a white marble version as well.

I was also thinking about if and when they get to the Dinos we would get a different good/evil repaint version as well. Turbodactyl started out as an evil blue version called Terrordactyl. Tyrantisarus had a green version called Warsaurus. I can’t remember what Bionatops recolor was called.
