I'm not poor, I've just never gotten an interview for a job I've actually applied for in my field.
I was recently shot down for a job that *I* was approached for by a recruiter, for the second time two years in a row, for the same type of position that I'm a perfect fit for doing the same thing I'm doing in my current position, and disqualified without an interview because I'm not an 'accomplished historian'. She's right. I haven't accomplished anything.
