short answer is, yes, and you're not alone for feeling that way. the way of being human which was once intuitive for all of us has been replaced by a system of technolinguistic automatisms, e.i. pay the rent or you get evicted, do the work or you get fired. we no longer live in the space of living, breathing people, but the space of purely informational exchange, mediated by contracts and constitutions.
