>Why do Americans defend and worship lazy billionaires that create an unhealthy market and system for everyone?
America lives under literal feudal rule from a king. They just changed the names up a bit. When the banks were bailed out, this was the sign for them that they would never be allowed to fail. The King would always have the back of his nobility just like in old times.
So Americans, befuddled by the name change and still convinced that their forefathers would totally approve billionaires ensuring other billionaires can never fail with endless government money, keep telling themselves the Bootstraps lie while they watch their former capitalist system divvied up between lords and dukes and familial bloodlines being used to select CEOs.
Look at this list, in particular Johnny boy of Unity. That guy has ran mulitple companies into the ground, but he's never allowed to actually fail and become a pauper because if he fails, any of the other CEOs could also fail if they fuck up. Besides, it's only peasants who get hurt by his stupidity.
