The best enjoyment I got from gaming in 2025 was not from Steam, Switch 2, or GOG. it was from going to the archives and finding PC ports of Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, Mass Effect 1 and 2, and Silent Hill 2.
All of these games have mods that make them nicer to play on a modern PC. I used my Xbox Series Elite controller for some of them, and it was much comfier than most of the corposlop they've actually released recently.

Mostly. But honestly I still prefer just downloading the original ME1 on InternetArchive, and installing MEUITM. It still looks kino as fuck. ME2 is also on that site, and there's a NoDVD crack for 3 once you've boughted it, and you can actually load up saves from OT3 into Legendary Edition, so if you're okay with the broken particle effects, you can just play OT1/2 and then LE3.
