What is impressive about this is that the game design at its core can run on a PS2. It's the same kind of game, rebuilt with higher quality graphics. Thing is, graphics are scaleable. And indeed they scale: the game features worse settings in performance mode and can hit lower resolutions (down to 720p!). Yet it can't hit a constant 60 fps? How is that possible? It surely can't be a CPU limitation? I mean, this style of game can literally be made on a PS2?
So what is going on here? Is it an engine problem? An optimization problem?
