It's overall good.
I'm just extremely autistic about some of the tropes the setting uses. 9 times out of 10, a setting with genetic-based magic should result in some caste system. To compare it to another J+ manga, the nobility in Centuria consists of magic users descended from a godking because his powers serve as "proof" of his divine right. This is, to me, a lot more realistic than magic users being oppressed by the muggles.
I'll let the author cook cause there definitely might be a good explanation for why the setting is this way.
>Mages held all the power for 90% of the setting's history. Humans recently seized power in a revolution, which had the side effect of creating a culture of genocidal racism against mages
>The government is secretly ran by mages who are trying to secure power from themselves
Worldbuilding autism aside, her friend's death managed to make me sad.
