I bought a Pentax K1ii 2 days ago and I'm second guessing my decision despite looking for one for the last 2 months. Even though I paid what's relatively cheap for them ($920 + tax w/2 batteries + D-BG6 grip 4000 shot count, usually they're like $1100-1400 used when they come up for sale).

Wonder if I should've just taken the opportunity to go to a different FF format (Nikon Z6II or Sony A7C) for the same money. There's too many good cameras in 2025. I still wanna pick up a a7iv in a year or two when the a7v comes out.

On the flipside I have a ton of FF lenses I already own that'll work (Quantaray 28-90mm, 35-70mm F4 and 35-135mm Pentax-Fs, 80-320mm FA, 70-200 and 70-210mm Takumar 4-5.6s) and 2 strobes (AF540FGZ + Metz 52). Next I'll pick up a 50mm f1.4 FA or a 28mm f2.8 FA.

And I'm selling my KF w/18-55mm to make up for it for $400 + whatever DA lenses won't work and I won't wanna keep for my K200D (18-135mm for $100 and 50mm f1.8 for $60 are the first ones, while 35mm f2.4 is a fav for me to shoot with).

I took this with the KF + 28-90mm
