He created a false narrative about Russian collusion that attempted to change the outcome of the election and that undermined Trump's authority.
It also took away Trump's ability to negotiate with the Russians to avert a war with Ukraine since the Democrats would claim he was a Russian puppet while it set the groundwork for all the Democrats to hate Russia.
They were planning on having a war between Russia and Ukraine under Hillary; but then Trump won so they had to invent this bullshit to keep Trump from settling things with the Russians. Then 4 years later we get Biden's sketchy election and we find ourselves in the war they had planned.
