Oldest millenial here. Culturally, we experienced our teenage years in the 90s, which was a positive, magically time to be a teenager. No phones, good paying jobs even for teens. Costs were low. The future was bright. Then during the Bush years wages dropped, prices went up. 9/11 gave us the Patriot Act, spying, and jingoism. We got disillusioned. Older millenials were pretty good, the women have turned into literal nightmares now, they did not used to be. Around my social circle if you said some dumb woke shit you might get punched, somehow the women turned woke and were manipulated by media/academia (oy vey). Once we do get power we arent going to be cruel like baby boomers, we will stop actual injustice, and destroy wokeness permenently. You see how male zoomers went drastically right wing? Wait til you see millenial men who have taken hits on the chin for 20 years and are still standing.
