I wasn't sure what to get for a gpu, wanted 24+GB of VRAM but in the last 6 months those cards are all over 3k+, they used to be 1k. I grabbed a 5070Ti 16GB, the speed increase is insane, with Flux dev FP8 gens take seconds now instead of minutes.
