Personally I have gone to two in the past with my ex and friends and it was an enjoyable time. You see a lot of cool cosplays, can buy some neat things if not poorfag, and there's open consoles/board games you can play with people if you desire. The panels are cool too, and are informative if you're into cosplay or the gaming industry. Overall there's a lot of things to do if you're willing


Now I say this as this year I fucked up my life and am alone, so I'm in the same boat as you anon. I will be going alone to a con in August but already know that you can be friendly to folks and maybe meet people but otherwise what I said above is also available.

If you like games/nerd shit then do it for yourself. Who knows maybe you don't like it, well at least you tried and went so you won't be wondering "what if I had gone to that con alone and blah blah blah"


tldr dont be a shutin faggot and just go if you can afford it, maybe some good will come out of it
