I hated regular Hitman but love Freelancer. The problem with hitman is that because its so scripted it feels like its almost impossible to fail a mission unless you are retarded.
Freelancer's randomness makes it so you have to deal with what the situation you are given. The fun is that as you get better and learn where items are, you can basically make your own luck. Same with if you keep doing well you then are able to bring more items that make it easier, but because you can lose them that gives doing the missions correctly more meaning. In regular hitman if you fail you just restart, but in freelancer, you lose your shit and that adds to the fun.
