It's normal for most souls to die by default actually, you don't understand that your idea of "soul" is platonic(memetic) in nature and not real(the soul is physical, it's etheric/bioelectric). The soul is a "backup" in case of death but such mechanisms haven't been working properly for a very long time(on earth). So what actually happens is your soul memory is recycled and your soul fails to germinate(you are a flesh automata animated by neurotransmiters).
So technically you are right but you still die unless you cultivate or reproduce to pass on a "portion" of yourself.
