They had 25+ years to fix their shit. Instead they started their usual vatnik ritual worship of the "great leader" and despising "churkas" (everyone else). There's a russian word they have for themselves that vatniks never use on themselves - "nevmeniajimije" (irredeemable, unchangeable). Like the Finnish proverb - "a Russian, even deep fried, is still a Russian".

There's a conclusion to be drawn here. The same conclusion that was drawn with Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. We'll see if the west catches on.
