Wouldn't France also be able to?
I wouldn't be surprised if Japan could also put some modular stands into some baseball stadiums to temporarly be able to play football in there.
Same with Australia, which had a full, legitimate candidacy ready and had been bidding for years now but got (((tricked))) by FIFA when they opened the bidding process without informing anyone but the Saudi so the Saudi 2034 bid would be the only valid bid and thus win by default.

I agree. Tiny host countries work best. Not much travel

FIFA wants forty-eight teams at the WC now, which will grow to sixty-four in the future. The next WC and the one after that will be held in three host countries each. FIFA does not want single country bid candidates anymore. The money is in spreading things out as much as possible. There will never be another WC host'ed only by a country the size of Poland, Spain, Argentina or Australia.

It's over, the WC will never be soul again. If UEFA are smart, they can make the Euros bigger than WC.

>FIFA does not want single country bid candidates anymore.
Unless that single country is their latest dictatorial chum paying for the privilege.
They had no problem giving the hosting rights to Saudi Arabia, bending their own rules in the process to conveniently remove the condition that (iirc) half of the stadiums need to already exist when submitting a bid.
Expect more anti-SOVL multi country bids until China decides to slip an enveloppe under Gianni's office door or something like that.
