The sense I got from reading /sp/ is that it's a brand new tournament

latinx view it as a desperate way to get revenge on superior europeans, but even if they win they still are proving their inferiority

I'm half convinced they've chosen this format as a test run for the World Cup, as American infrastructure is not exactly geared towards football and I've heard the installations were rather precarious in 94. So I'm not sure they'll keep making it like this. That being said, I hope they do.
