Saying a Canadian team has not won a stanley cup literally means nothing. There are 32 teams in the NHL and quite literally just two teams are american majority players. It is the equivalent to saying Canada was the best basketball nation in 2019 because the Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship

There is a reason why Americans will never bring up international hockey. The last time they won a gold medal was in 1980 and they never actually win anything so they count Stanley cups as victories. The flordia Panthers have 25 players, only 5 of them are americans
