Your population is equal to our fourth-biggest city. You cannot be expected to be elite at sports overall. Things like Iceland‘s 2016/2018 runs are exceptional.
But yes, compared with Lithuania and Latvia, it is kind of weird that you don’t stand out in any popular sport. Latvia is respected for ice hockey and Lithuania is respected for basketball. I suppose you are alright at basketball, but still … I would like to be a little bit better at ice hockey and football. Maybe handball could also be something for you.
Overall, you aren’t terrible for your size. Something I noticed Estonia is great at is the decathlon. Maicel Uibo, Janek Oiglane, Karel Tilga, Rasmus Roosleht, Risto Lillemets, Hans-Christian Hausenberg, and Johannes Erm at more or less the same time. That’s honestly kind of crazy
