They didnt have much reason to care to old format, even if european team lost it wouldnt mean much. Context is different now though, with so many europeans failing to beat Latin America teams it is looking a bit ugly for UEFA now, and it couldve easily be like 4 loses at this point. I dont think this proves Psg would struggle here but for sure it proves that a Crystal Palace wouldnt win the Libertadores like some would argue
