NRL
>GAME 1
New Zealand Warriors v Penrith Panthers
3:00pm AEST on Fox and Kayo
Go Media Stadium, Auckland
1.24-4.10
>James Fisher-Harris plays against the club he won 4 premierships with for the first time. The Warriors last outing was a comprehensive 40-10 victory over the Cronulla Sharks in Round 14. The Panthers secured a gritty 18-14 win over the Wests Tigers in Round 14 and have won 3 of their last 5 games. In a bold strategic move, Ivan Cleary has opted to rest all five of his Origin stars.
Warriors 1-12 3.20
Warriors 13+ 1.89
Panthers 1-12 4.75
Panthers 13+ 14.00

5:30pm AEST on Fox and Kayo
HBF Park, Perth
1.24-4.10
>The red-hot Dolphins host this game in Perth against the Knights who have several star players returning from injury. The Dolphins are in blistering form, winning their last three games and scoring a massive 158 points in the process. They beat the Cowboys 58-4 last time out in Round 15. The Knights are having an inconsistent season, with a WLWLL pattern in their last 5 matches.
Dolphins 1-12 3.10
Dolphins 13+ 1.87
Knights 1-12 4.90
Knights 13+ 12.00
Dolphins -12.5 1.97 Knights +12.5 1.84

>GAME 3
South Sydney Rabbitohs v Melbourne Storm
7:35pm AEST on Fox and Kayo
Accor Stadium, Sydney
4.25-1.23
>The Storm have won their past three against the Rabbitohs. The Rabbitohs are in a slump, having lost their last three consecutive games. Winger Alex Johnston is now just 10 tries short of Ken Irvine's all-time NRL try-scoring record of 212. Melbourne are typically strong with four wins from their last five, and are well-rested after a bye. This is one of the NRL's most one-sided rivalries, the Storm's 35-7 head-to-head record presents a significant psychological hurdle for the Rabbitohs.
Rabbitohs 1-12 5.25
Rabbitohs 13+ 11.50
Storm 1-12 3.00
Storm 13+ 1.88
Rabbitohs +12.5 1.84 Storm -12.5 1.97

>6h 15m Non-stop flight
and thats not counting waiting time, its not a charter that is time in flight, not counting the waiting at the airport for the flight there are x amount of flights going to nz a day, its not you rock up and just causally stroll onto the airplane
its a little fucked and origin is high intensity, players are told you feel tired you push even harder and unless you're on poother juice you can't back that up and anyone who's done overseas travel it saps you cause its the waiting, its going through security blah blah blah its miserable then you have to run full blast into a warriors line who hate you more than the /nrl/ family in front of a warriors crowd
I for one can't wait tbqh

they could easily organise a charter and give the players a massage and a bed if they were keen for them to play but it’s also not a terrible idea to rest them anyway.
They’d fly out the next morning and be settled in Auckland Thursday evening no problem

I’m thinking if everyone played everyone twice as they should then resting your men wouldn’t be a big deal because everyone else would be doing it too. It’s not a big deal now though really makes sense not to play them have them fresh next week. It’s all a bit of a mess really

yeah there has been criticism of the scheduling department, little example, womens round being played before the nrlw has even started etc
maybe after the quokkas (bears) start up maybe things will get smarter (I doubt it)

They could use this it’s free

Pretty sure someone decent enough at logistics and geometry could do the whole thing within a day and it’d be near perfect. They’re getting ripped off by whomever they’re paying to do the draw
