WTA or tennis in general is about the last thing that's 'self-sustainable'. Outwith the slams, it's a band aid of sponsors and local government grants that allow tournaments to be held at all. And for someone like Radacanu, who cleared £750k in *tennis earnings* in 2024 despite doing the square root of fuck all on court, you can see exactly why she's keeping her own trap shut on the issue.
