what's stopping the brazilian federation from actually making a team out of serie A players??? it doesn't look like the european-signed-before-21 faggots actually make a good team

Years of worshipping european leagues and believing that peak football is played there, while sending all our U-20 talent to play in Europe. Unsurprisingly, this makes our coaches obsessed with mid-table shitters from EPL, Serie A etc, just because they have the "Europe brand"
The only thing good about this CWC is showing that we should value our league more

Will this make the CBF reconsider?

I am all for it
But only because I think it will delay the Hexa even more. The only thing CBF players have other their European mercenary compatriots is passion, and that is important indeed, but there’s a reason European clubs use their money to go after the supposed cream of the crop. You can’t tell me that the biggest Brazilian stars aren’t usually making a move to Europe eventually, and plenty of them are able to hone their skills even more in Europe
That being said, I wouldn’t mind Brazilian players staying in Brazil a little more often. It is frustrating to see clubs here rely on foreign players over domestic talent. I am sure we could improve our own national teams without losing too much total quality if the flow of players from all over the world to Europe were a little less excessive
The Brazilian league is good and I especially admire how balanced it is. A Brazilian team of only Brazilian league players would still beat many nations. But it would be foolish to assume it has overall greater strength than the biggest European leagues, Botafogo beating PSG at this new event or not
