Here in Brazil wearing football jerseys (most in Brazil are falsified and cheap ones, obviously) raises the chance of the Military Police giving you an police approach, if you are a man. But in general all jerseys are in style right now, soccer is just typically the most common because it's relatively diverse, and goes with any kind of pants. But there are exclusive vintage footy shops, I saw a kid in a Spiderman 2 Atletico shirt the other day. It's kinda becoming one of those "fashion one upping" things that especially that part of New York City is inclined to getting into.
