The 2025 Summer Cup is just a month away and the transfer window is now open. As usual /sp/ have received a generous transfer budget, ready to sign highly valued players who'll shit the bed in big games. This thread is for our /sp/ scouting team to suggest who will disappoint the board next.

>What is this?
A sitewide divegrass (sawker) cup where each board makes their own team, and play them against each other in CPU vs CPU matches on Pro Evolution Soccer. Although the players aren't controlled directly, the teams and tactics are handled by real people.

The roster poll will be held next weekend. Players suggested here will be put on the poll (unless it's deemed too stupid or hard to represent in-game). You can also suggest kits (jerseys), music, chants, or anything else related to the team.

The discussion on that never ends up going anywhere so a decision is stuck in limbo pretty much. The usual argument against change is that there are no natural successors, Messi and Ronaldo are still very relevant on the board, as well as tradition and records especially in Messi's case. Maybe it should just go on the poll and actually get a decision this time

Personally, I think there can only be a poll once we know who would replace them. As you‘ve said, there basically is no real reason to get rid of them. If we ever have that discussion for real, we need to know who would come in - imagine throwing out Messi and Ronaldo for 700 mirrion dorrars and one of the 20 Ngubu variants. It’s just not a good trade-off
On a different note, >1993 is a loss all in all. Not a superstar, but a neat addition. One of the memorable and present American memes, a diversity hire that actually works. Americans would get more of their memes in there >if they cared, but it is true that it cannot be 100% football memes. Not sure about quotas, though
